Crocheted Cobweb Capelets & Shawls by Evelyn Clark
 
A large crochet hook and lace weight mohair combine with simple single crochet to create these light, airy accessories that are both fashionable and warm.  all of these pieces are reversible and can be made as long or as short as desired.  Three sizes are given for each style of capelet  Capelets are worked in rounds beginning at the neck edge.  Shawls begin at the center neck and are shaped like a boomerang to hug the shoulders.
 
Sizes:
Capelets: neck opening 30" (32", 34"), length 12" (13", 14").
Rounded Shawl: 24" deep and 64" across top edge.
Triangular Shawl: 29" deep and 72" across top edge.
 
Yardage: lace weight mohair
Capelet: 460 (690, 690) yards for either version
Shawl: 460 yards for either version.
 
Hooks: capelets size H & J; shawls size J
